Concluding with the breathtaking Signature Runway Experience, Season 18 of Baltimore Fashion Week® brought together a striking fusion of classic art, independent fashion, and cutting-edge beauty trends.
Established in 2006 under the umbrella of the Fashion Umbrella Foundation, this premier platform continues to serve as a launchpad for emerging designers, high-fashion models, and top-tier beauty professionals. The finale showcased a dynamic synergy between runway elegance and historical art.
A standout highlight of the evening was the Fashion Remix initiative in partnership with The Walters Art Museum. On the runway, designer Cindy Bui captivated audiences with a collection inspired by the Garland Sarcophagus, while Darrius Hyman-Sanford presented a dramatic interpretation of Hathor: Solar Regalia – Sistrum. Both collections highlighted how hair, makeup, and garment design can transform museum masterpieces into modern editorial statements.
The runway energy remained high with innovative collections from Erin Anderson, Tasia Cotton, Shaniqua Hammond, and the vibrant textures of Sankofa African & World Bazaar. The second half brought fresh perspectives from Kenya Baker, LaNiyah Tooks, Lloreal Johnson, and breakthrough talent Annaya Thomas featured under The Ones To Watch.
Behind every flawless runway moment was a dedicated team of beauty professionals and stylists who crafted hair and makeup looks to elevate the models’ presence. As Sharan Nixon, Founder and Executive Producer, noted: “We are grateful to the designers who trusted us with their collections, the models who brought those collections to the runway, and the teams who supported the production”.
